The Artist

My name is Marife Olivares, and I am a Systems Engineer from Venezuela. I have been interested in art all my life: Paintings, Jewelry Design, Photography, and Graphic Design are my passions.

I started painting when I was eight years old, and I took painting lessons for seven years. I paint using different media such as pencil, charcoal, pastel, ink, watercolor, acrylic, and oil. My favorite painting technique is watercolor.

One of my other passions is jewelry design. I love to design and create jewelry. For me, jewelry is more than an accessory; it is a way to express myself. My jewelry designs are unique and handmade creations. My inspiration comes primarily from nature, and flowers are my favorite subject.

In 2007, I came to the U.S. to continue my education, this time in the graphic design field. As a photographer and graphic designer, I have been discovering wonderful things about my potential as an artist. I am particularly fond of advertising campaigns and packaging design.
